We have an immediate opportunity for a BizTalk Engineer to join our team working as a Customer Engineer (CE’s). This is a full-time direct hire role with our company running for 18 months. A CE’s time is dedicated to working with some of the largest, and most sophisticated companies in the world, usually F1000 companies. CE’s support and assist customers in building, deploying, operating and optimizing complex enterprise environments. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction, deployment, adoption and support of SCCM initiatives.

Salary range:  $90 - 105K based on experience

Travel:            CE’s are home based and deliver services typically via Microsoft Teams.

Primary work includes:

  • Standard Product Work Shops - Training
  • In-Depth Product Reviews - White Board (Chalk Talk) Sessions
  • Health Checks / Assessments
  • Post Operational Review of Product Implementations
  • Product Upgrade / Migration Assessments
  • Systems Performance Reviews
  • Act as the primary technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical support and problem resolution for corporate customers, including issues raised to the highest levels of management.

The Experience you’ll need to excel in the role:

  • Advanced Technical support, administration, troubleshooting or consulting for enterprise clients
  • Face-to-face customer engagement where bidirectional planning and solutioning are expected
  • Excellent written, oral & presentation abilities
  • Must enjoy working independently
  • Meaningful experience with Microsoft enterprise software product offerings 
  • A passion for providing World class customer service 
  • Awareness of corporate environments and their business requirements 
  • Works well in a team environment, also comfortable being an individual contributor

Technical Experience:

  • Implementing, operating, tuning, & troubleshooting enterprise scale BizTalk Server (BizTalk Server 2009/2010/2013/R2) platforms
  • Hands on experience with SQL Server, IIS, & the general .NET framework/Windows Server platform in enterprise environments
  • Design/Architect and build highly available BizTalk environments. Prior history of installing and configuring BizTalk
  • Best practices for Hosts, host instances, host separation, tracking, tuning
  • Configuring SSO, understand best practices for SSO, master secret server, high availability, and DR
  • Supporting databases used by BizTalk including best practices to maintain BizTalk Server DBs
  • Expert level servicing BizTalk SQL Agent jobs, their configuration needs and best practices, especially around backup and DTA
  • Deep understanding of the special BizTalk SQL server requirements / best practices regarding create/update statistics, Max Degree of Parallelism, BizTalk DB file separation, Database Index rebuilds/defrag.
  • Development of BizTalk applications, creation of schemas, maps, pipelines, orchestration, experience with Visual Studio and BizTalk design time components.
  • Work with Rules Engine, developing and deploying vocabularies and policies.
  • Best practices for deployment of BizTalk MSIs and Bindings
  • Understanding of groups and user accounts required for BizTalk / SQL including best practices for BTS & SQL permissions
  • Fluent understanding of BizTalk / MSDTC relationship and best practices for MSDTC config for BizTalk and SQL
  • Advanced trouble-shooting performance issues including setting up and analyzing performance counters, throttling issues, causes, tuning
  • BizTalk Health Monitor and use of Maintenance / Terminator tool
  • BAM and ESB configurations and DBs
  • IIS and Web Services / WCF
  • Familiarity with Line Of Business adapters is helpful
  • Good understanding of ITIL/Service Management
